A jackrabbit has become quite fond of fallen apples in the backyard. A few times I've gone out there have been apples 3/4 eaten. Unlike the squirrels it sticks to one instead of taking chunks out of a bunch of different ones.
The crab apple tree is sagging so much it becomes an increasing nuisance while mowing as the season progresses. I keep hoping the damn thing just breaks under its own weight. I've lost several huge branches in previous years.
