Pipe of the night
Small Dublin-shaped meerschaum loaded with Dunhill Flake. It's been soggy and rainy all day, so I decided the meer would get a workout tonight. It's nice and small for easy clenching while fishing.
The Dunhill Flake's flavor came as a surprise. Been smoking more mild burleys lately, so the full-house Virginia flavor of the DF hit hard, but wasn't unwelcome. Dunhill Flake is probably the best straight Virginia I've tried so far.
>>1045808>>1045863That's called a burnout.
Your cob is dead, anon.
The Chinese $3 cobs are absolutely prone to doing that, and that's why I don't recommend them. They're complete shit.
I'm actually surprised yours lasted as long as it did. Many times they burn out after just a couple bowls.
You may not be supposed to take huge long draws, but a pipe should be able to handle it, and most pipes will. You're not the first one to take long draws from a pipe, after all.
Unfortunately, you're also not the first one to get a quick burnout from a chinkshit cob pipe. Stay away, anons.
For just $4 more you could get a Missouri Meerschaum Legend at a drugstore that smokes like a dream and will last you for years, even decades. It's the best deal going in pipes.
The cheap Chinese cobs trade on MM's reputation, but as you found out their stuff is just trash.
>>1045844Just normal clothes. After all, this isn't /fa/.
What do you wear, anon?
>>1045861Actually pretty good.
It's made by STG/Lane, who makes Captain Black and the bulk tobacco lots of local shops use for their own house blends.
SP is basically most of their bulk tobacco line packaged under a brand name for retail sale.
It's one of the few "value" pipe tobacco lines that really is for pipes and not just disguised RYO cigarette tobacco.
>>1045929IKTF anon.
As for your tobacco, it's probably just dried out. Throw it into a ziplock bag and add a cheap humidifier soaked in distilled water. Your tobacco should be good as ever in a day.
