From the nature of where I live, the season is pretty limited, but I'm still packing in around 40 days a season. Over the course of 15 years I've gotten pretty good, but I'm still honing the craft. Majority of people don't even know how far they have to go. Ask a "good" skieer who goes up only a couple of times a year to use only their outside edge to turn. I bet you half of them won't even what that means. There's a pretty big difference between those who are committed, and those who passively ski a few times a year.
