>>1286126>You can't cookU wut m8? I absolutely cooked every fucking day in my car. Shitty pic related is my 12v skillet that I cooked eggs, meats, even cooked small $1 pizzas in it and my slow cooker that I used a 300 watt inverter to power. There is a local grocery that offers single servings of meats like steak and pork chops for like a $1.50-$2.50. I ate very well. I heated all kinds of stuff in my slow cooker from soups, beef stew, even would use it to heat up hot dogs and even made a shitty mac and cheese in it. That being said, MOST of the time I would get loaves of bread and eat tons of PBJ sandwiches and buy single serving packs of lunch meat at Walmart and other grocery stores for like 50-75 cents. Also snack on fruits and vegetables. I also used a small propane stove but preferred not having open flames and/or have the possibility of leaking propane suffocate me in my car. I rarely ate fast food. Truthfully, fast food gives me the shits which is a really bad thing to get when living in a car.
If I absolutely pinched my pennies I could absolutely spend less than $3/day on food and not go hungry. Although I would usually spend a bit more than that on food.
As for maintenance and repairs, that will be differently for everyone. In my year car dwelling I spent about $150 ($12.5/month averaged out) on maintenance/repairs and unless its deep engine or transmission repair I would have just done it myself saving lots of money.
>250 a month? Bullshit. No debt m8. Insurance is about $65/month, my Walmart Boost phone is $35/month. Food and fuel were the only variables I had and I tried to keep both to a minimum. I tried to keep food intake down because I did actually end up sitting in my car more than I would have liked. $100-$150 on food was the usual. I leave fuel out because some months I drove a fuckton and others I hardly put miles on my car.
