>>849295Central Texas here. Assuming it'll be around 13000BC, before native Americans came, my area is perfect:
>mostly open plains filled with Bison, Mammoth, Horses, Camels, Deer and massive Armadillos that have no fear of humans>local fresh water source is a extremely clear and beautiful spring/river/lake system that is a constant 68 degrees year round and was continually inhabited for over 14000 years>local pines, aspens, and post-oaks make great wood for building or fire-making, Yaupon tree leaves can be dried and boiled to produce a super strong "coffee" that has 50% more caffeine the real thing, and pecan trees are everywhere and can produce up to 50 pounds of fat/protein rich nuts each season>climate would likely be continental, with warm summers and cool winters>no natural disasters, other than rare tornadoes or floodingSo, assuming that the price limit does not include what I already have:
>Mosin Nagant with bayonet: $130>7.62x54r surplus, 200rds: $50>3 cheap mora fixed blades: $30>Machete with sawback: $20>wood Axe: $20>pocket blade sharping kit: $7>large box of matches: $3>2 ferro-rods: $15>cheap ultralight single person tent + tarp: $50>mess kit (comes with utensils): $20>9in cast iron pan: $10>1 gallon (plastic) canteen: $10>Russian military surplus rucksack (to complete the slavshit look): $15>non-carbon water filter (unlimited uses): $20>Tomato, Potato, Corn, and Squash seeds: $5>100ft of paracord: $15>as much thrift store clothing as possible: $80The idea is to basically camp down by the local lake with my shitty tent and hunt for large game during the first couple of weeks, and once I get a decent smoked meat reserve set up I'll start working on building a very primitive log cabin and small garden. If I run out of ammo for hunting I can simply use the Mosin as a spear, and I can make a sleeping bag or additional clothing/shoes/foot wraps out of hide and cordage.
