My parents have been raising Scottish Highlander cows for many years (since I was a wee little kid.) Highlander cows all have magnificent horns, even the females. They are pretty gentle around us but sometimes they'll charge at you, although it's easy to evade them by jumping over the fence and they don't seem to intend to actually gore us. However, I've found that if I extend my arms straight past my head, mimicking horns, and tilt forward and charge at them, they will scatter- presumably because my silhouette looks somewhat like a cow with massive horns. Do this at your own risk because you'll probably end up getting killed.
