Im the guy you responded to btw, while barefoot descending Ive noticed an increased pressure in knee ligaments, nothing dramatic but you can defiently feel it (I think its due to the fact that your body weight goes more over your feet since you have to reach down with your toes while with heelstrike you lower your center of mass and bend knees), it was during a short period while I was barefoot fews days straight but simply due to technique of non heelstrike with barefoot descend I expect barefoot to put more pressure on knees during descents if you want to keep the speed.
