OP doesn't seem like the person that is going to go to the range every weekend and just wants something they can lock somewhere safely and forget.
There's plenty of cases during a shooting where the individual forgets basic steps in a high stress scenario and continues firing the trigger, for example, when the gun is jammed. This is an advantage with double action revolvers/pistols, but still is something that will require training with trigger weight of less than 5 lbs unless you want to be the accident of the person that blows their dick off.
