They clearly based their study mainly on the actual reports, the "anecdotes" are, as they CLEARLY said in the study. From events where the report itself was incomplete, and they contacted the person in question.
This is almost as stupid as if I were to write an entire paper, and for sources i would cite "relevant info" and "back of milk packet" when the only thing I used from the milk packet was a quote.
Honestly though, I'm not bothered if you choose to carry a gun instead of spray, that means a pretty good chance that you'll actually uphold your proposal and never post again.
At least that would be the case if you actually went out.
