They go to some extreme lengths to maximise their efficiency too, sacrifices we are often uncomfortable with - women cut their hair short, men don’t bathe, they wipe their asses with 2 squares of paper or sticks and water, they eat astronaut poverty rations, they wear undignified weird clothing just to be lighter and endanger themselves with equipment and medical gear that pushes it to the bare minimum. These people are hardcore in their own way.
