What a lovely Saturday, no clouds whatsoever. My mate got this photo from the peak of Blencathra, just squeezing in Derwent Water on the right side.
Looking over the edge of the hill is pretty terrifying, there are some really steep drops. Even had a bit of snow left over despite it being sunny enough to get slightly burnt. Looking to the North and West there's nothing but one more range of rolling hills before the sea and what look like a couple of disused farms, nestled in the valley with no roads leading to them.
Camped 3/4 of the way down, then in the morning we walked the few miles to a pub designed for hobbits for tea and shortbread sat next to a fire.
10/10 trip.
