I did the roll of reflectix, the yoga mat, some china foam thing, the z-lite, some garbage Big Agnes inflatable that leaked day 1, the 'self inflating' bullshit (fucking lie), a decent thermarest hybrid... All wasted money/time/energy I could have spent one time on a good, thick, comfortable, reputable pad.
I also bought a double wide pad (synmat hyperlite) that fits the floor of my 2-p tent perfectly and has 2 air zones, the gf is more of an animal than I am and even she appreciates the comfy bed.
I do actually still have a nemo switchback that I use for winter stuff or if I don't bring a tent after bug season... or if I decide to subject myself to torture every so often when all these memes you guys post make me think I'm retarded for buying good quality shit that's actually reliable instead of a tarp from the dollar store, a roll of bubble wrap, and 40 year old surplus gear.
