I'll agree with you that tactical knives, and EDC guns belong on /k/. Threads about hunting rifles, bow hunting, carrying with a pack on and bushcrafting knives most certainly are /out/ related. It's in the damn sticky and the argument has already been had.
I usually carry a gun, edc and hiking. I'm not suggesting anybody else do the same though I welcome it if they do. Because the hip strap on a backpack takes up the space where I would normally conceal carry a gun, I struggled for some time to find a good way to carry in both a concealed (concealing for your comfort not mine, because I'm nice like that) and also accessible manner. One day on /out/ someone started a thread saying that they were coming up against and trying to find a solution to this problem. I was so happy to be able to offer some good suggestions to them and then all the anti-gun bozos started shitting up the thread. The irony is that they caused more bumps than anyone.
