Other than that it's no problem, what really fucks me up is the thought of lying in my tent sleeping and being defenseless.
I once woke up because a deer walked around in camp and cramped up from fear, not pleasent but I took myself together and said hello. Heard it trot away and felt relief. Worst experience was camping at the German/Danish border and waking up from distant shouting in 2015. During that time waves of immigrants flooded from Germany to Denmark and a group was close. Packed up my gear and sneaked towards the voices. They were walking on a logging path with phone music, using their built in flashlights. Didn't feel safe anymore but I was too far away from the car so I crawled into an area with some really dense bushes, some with thorns and put down my tarp and sleeping bag.
Had to pull out 6 ticks and had a spider bite but it's better than getting robbed and eventually killed by barbarians lol.
