Things growing well on the allotment. Right hand bed is beans, left is chard and corn. Hoping to put a centre bed in for strawberries but there's no rush. We're covering the rest of the bed with membrane and letting it die, the grass/weeds beneath are all brown and completely separate from the soil. Next year we'll rotorvate the whole plot and flatten it, adding something more solid for the tool shed and planter. The soil is riddled with bindweed, so pretty much all the grass will be membraned and mulched with bark as basic paths. We're just going to grow everything in planters I think.
