My wife got me one of these Times T2N727 watches for our anniversary this year. It's kind of bulky, and the altimeter is hard to read if you're reading in feet... but she was so pleased with herself I didn't have the heart to return it or anything. And I don't really seriously need an altimeter... it's just a nice feature.
I did, however, swap out the metal band for a nylon webbing "tactial" one that has one velcro strip, and then another that doubles back through a buckle for extra security. The only catch is that it doesn't cinch down enough to fit well on my skinny little "allosaurus wrist" as she calls them, so I put a sweat band on then strap the watch around that.
The upshot is the sweat band makes it very comfy when wearing it out while hiking, hunting, etc.
