The good thing is that you can use a VERY thin thread and it will still hold up your weight, because the "resistance" of your hammock is the sum all the threads on either side together, which amounts to a big ass rope.
Using thin threads leaves you with a lightweight hammock that you can fit un your pocket. Actually the rope to hang it from the trees takes more space than the hammocks itself.
And of course you make it your size exactly.
