I use a behemoth on my 10 weight and its a nice reel for what it is. Heavy but the drag is pretty good.
The battenkill is not something I'd want on a 8 wt rod where I'd be catching fish that you might actually have to put on the reel. Its a small arbor reel (~3 inches?) with click and pawl drag. For the same price as the battenkill disc you could get a danielsson f3w 7ten reel and it would blow the battenkill out of the water. Hand made in sweden same quality as a nautilus for 1/3 the price. This is my go to reel for striper.
