>>2489478Whatever the coating is, it is very durable. My knife still looks like brand new when only using it to do normal knife stuff. I also have the compadre froe which has the same coating and it has worn down to the metal in some spots, but much less than I would have expected from doing the battony chop chop with it all the time.
