DIY cheap as fuck ice box
WHAT YOU NEED :
one small box and one big box with their lids, one isotherm bag, lots of bubble wrap, tape.
HOW TO :
Fill the bottom of the big box with bubble wrap.
Put the small box in it, then fill the sides. Try to have the same width everywhere.
Put the bag in the small box - this add a little insulation but is mainly to avoid humidity damages on the cardboard.
Close the small box. Tighten the wrap and the outter box with some tape.
Tape some wrap inside the big lid. All the bubble wrap add width, so the lid may be to tight : if so, carefully disassemble it.
Put it in place and close it with tape. If it does not close well you might cut the top of the small box (not its lid!) to loose a little height.
PROS & CONS :
+ cheap
+ effective (2-3 days with 2L / 68oz ice packs)
- low storage compared to a real ice box of same dimensions
