The fruits are smaller, less sweet and less fruity than their regular cousins. The underside of the leaves and the stem contains thorns.
The fruits are, however, easier to pick since the berries ripen pretty much simultaneously and grow closer together. You can "jerk off" the berries and they will fall in your collecting tray.
As you can see, there are a lot of them.
The berriea are very sticky, so be careful how you pick them. Some grass seeds accidently fell into my tray and they are stuck now.
