She's taken NOLS courses, studied wilderness survival under Tom Brown, and worked up in Alaska on a logistics team in the middle of fucking nowhere for a few years supporting expeditions. I grew up going camping and learning from her because my dad is a fucking soyboy who hates sleeping anywhere without air conditioning. She's a total hardass, brutally honest, and a massive gearfag too which I find hilarious.
