Hey everyone,
so I'm a bit concerned
Am going tree-planting for a few months and will be living in a tent the entire time.
Am pretty low on money, and right now I have qualms about my tent situation.
My family offered me to use theirs and I finally received it today- a huge 6 person tent 'Makobe - dome', I looked it up online and see it retailing for ~70$
Am really uneasy now. It was actually suggested to me by a friend to bring a larger tent, because over such a long period a 4-person could drive me a bit nuts, but this just seems cheap. The mesh ventilation doesn't even have a zip-cover underneath its secondary top lining.
I assume cave in's and leakage. Perhaps with the tarps I'm bringing, leakage could be manageable.
What're the risks of bringing a low-quality large tent like this? I could tolerate a few discomforts for the convenience but if it'll be anything too extreme am slightly scared of the more experienced planters having a laugh at me.
Just how shitty are these low quality tents when put under 3 months of constant use?
Thanks for the help.
