As far as camera controls with them ... well, they're action/sports cameras, not DSLRs. Might have some adjustability, but you're really getting the wrong camera if you're interested in nighttime stuff.
Audio on them is shit. Would highly recommend an ext.mic if you want anything decent from it.
They're great cameras for what they are, but if you want something with decent controls and audio quality, you're looking at the wrong camera.
