Really changes your gait and posture and imo your grip and balance improves a lot. Also takes a lot of shock off your knees when walking downhill, since the foot itself gets to work and absorb more. Don't get me wrong, I have an /out/ job and I have gone through a bunch of heavy duty boots and I get their purpose. Whenever I can I try to walk barefoot though. When I can't do that, I try to wear skinners. I wear them mostly innawoods.
They're overpriced af though and not exactly durable, but you can easily carry a 2nd pair and to me the comfort is worth it.
