>>1448240I hiked it coming in from the west, the east side of the mountain is dominated by the Stowe ski resort. That route will put you on a dirt road for 1.5ish miles, though you can avoid it on the walk to the route by taking the Eagle Cut trail. When I hiked it, I took that to Laura Cowles and hiked out via Sunset Ridge. FYI, Laura Cowles seems to be less frequented and can be harder to follow. If you opt to take the LT to the Forehead, you can mix it up on the way back by taking Subway or another alternate route.
