>>1874829I have mine from a variety of sources. A lot of it is Nordic military surplus from 1940-1990. Swedish and Finnish woollen things in particular. These are very durable and comfy for hiking, and they should be since that's what they were designed for. You can also find some nice older pieces from designers that fit the bill, for city use mainly. Or make your own clothing using materials and techniques from 1945 like knochensack.

>>1875125Neofolk is mainly a musical style. People who wear "neofolk clothing" tend to be inspired by a number of sources, such as mountaineering/expedition garb from the 1940s, military uniforms of the age (not just German), sports attire (particularly skiing) from 1930s-1950s, and just central and northern European clothing in general, reaching from 1900-1950. It's less of a LARP and more of an eccentricity or a desire to use clothing made to standards of quality that have been virtually forgotten today. Trousers from 1949 that you got for 20 euros can have much higher quality than trousers you can buy today from Fjällräven for 300 euros.
