They hire a factory in China or southeast asia, give them a few extra bucks for superficial quality and redundant fabric stength and then slap a sticker price thats 3-10 times higher than a noname option. Rest of the budget is spent marketing it to saps with fancy graphics that they're buying hardcore, authentic, rugged packs, that absolutely cannot be sold for less than triple figures.
