The fact that it is in a very easy-access location in their packing system instead of with their mess kit shows that they are germophobes and not just merely disease conscientious. Regardless, that isn't even needed if they are not scratching their assholes, playing with animals, handling feces, or working in a soup kitchen. They are the type of people who use perfumes to cover up normal and natural scents, who think strong smelling human musk is the same thing as not showering for several days and smelling of bacteria feces. Basically, it is a whole mindset on how the person views the world. It isn't exact of course, but quite close enough. Kind of like when you see someone with long hair that's in dreadlocks and they are white. You instantly know a lot about them.
