>>1461473By far the most rewarding experience of my life, I was honestly pissed off I got an interview call and had to hightail back home during it.
Best advice is firstly do it motherfucker.
secondly, food an gas is really the only other limiting factors. I was definitely undernourished on that budget, but it was manageable. if you can get MREs on sale (anything under $10 per is decent) or other ready to eat meals, cheap those were very compact and high nutrition solutions for quick food. Also had a giant 5 gallon thing for water and big tub of protein mix. Tried to keep meals at $5 per day $8 at most. Gas invariably was the most expensive for transport between parks, but I was visiting 2+ per week sometimes. Take your time, see everything worth seeing, there's usually easy and free boondocking around all of them. Freecampsites dot Com srs
I had an easy pop up tent for backwoods camping, but if you can get a large sleeping pad in your back seat, that was for sure the game changer. Park on some blm land in the middle of nowhere and sleep in the back. wake up with the sun and then hike.
