>>2217457this particular sculpture is from a mystery wood I picked up in the south west of France, if anyone can id it be my guest, I suck at this. I live in in a big city so I also order some basswood blocks. I use purpose built whittling knives ( a roughing knife and a detail knife are plenty) as well as small files and sandpaper. I am looking into getting micro gouges for better details.
