In the lake near me there are millions of them so it usually doesn't take long. Once you find them though you gotta stay in that exact spot. Also another thing is sometimes you will start catching them but a majority of them will be dinks. When that happens I treat the situation the same way as if I wasn't catching anything and keep drifting untill you start catching eater sized ones.
