For the first time since I started fishing as a literal toddler, I went out today and bought some shit other than just hooks and sinkers.
I have a couple questions about them, though. I'm still having a hard time understanding how these things work; the one in the pack is apparently a jig, and the other thing that looks like it is apparently a spinnerbait. Do I put a soft plastic thing at the end of either of these or do I just toss them out as they are? And does anyone know about the Strike King crankbill I got? Finally, the little ones with spinners on them have what looks like a rubber band holding on the rubber shit. Is this a bad thing that shows how badly made it is or is this common? I got a couple and they only cost me $.80 each so I don't really care but it seems kind of bad.
Anyways, any help is appreciated. This is a long time hobby I had as a child that I gave up on after my grandfather died, and I'm finding my passion for it again, but I want something more than just putting corn on a bobber and hook and catching a crappie.
