I used to have an o'day 22 I sailed on the great lakes for half a dozen years. you can usually find trailerable boats for under $5k, often under $3k around here. They are too big for small cars but too small for people with a lot of money. So if you have a full sized van or truck to pull something in the 20' to 25' range it's a sweat spot for cheap boats.
