>>840233Summer is definitely rough here with the warm water, but I mentioned it earlier in the thread saying I rarely get skunked it I'm fishing my local lakes I know. But with the heat, I go out around 6pm and often times I won't get shit until just as the sun is going down. Then I will get 2 or 3 fish within 20min and head home.
If the bass really aren't biting for shit or I'm out earlier in the day, I just break out a Mepps and try to go for snakeheads and Mayans, maybe even a bluegill.
Then I have my random lakes where I know there are nice fish but 75% of the time I get skunked and the other 25% of the time the fishing is great. Most of the clear water lakes with peacock bass that I go to are like this. But I go to those lakes knowing it might be shit and it I get frustrated I will just stop by a lake closer to my house on the way home and get a few smaller bass.
