quick story about how i got into doing this sorta thing. i'd go hiking in lake meredith national recreation area and find random trash, long abandoned, like aluminum rations from the 1960s/70s that were just full of dead bugs. so i realized that they had been perpetually killing anything that touched them from the heat, or also in glass bottles, trapped inside. so as i'm walking around, there's one of the most unique geological features in the area sticking out of the distance. i'm not sure what i'd call it, but there's nothing in the time i've explored the area that i've found quite like it. so...
