I've been using a sling for 2 years now and I'm only now able to hit what I'm aiming at after many hours of chucking rocks. It's as good as a bow once you're able to use it reliably but it takes more time to learn over a bow and arrow. I personally like slings more cause bows require maintenance I would not be able to keep up with out of laziness so I learned to throw rocks reliably.
