Depends what you are fishing for. There are some situations where I run the drag pretty loose so I can let some bigger bass run around and get a little tired and have fun. Other times I will set it heavier if I want to get them in fast before they dive into a weed bed or have time to shake it loose.
Somebody mentioned that you should point the rod tip at the fish when they are going to jump and it makes it harder for them to shake the hook out. I'm not sure how much of a difference it is making yet but I think it helps a bit.
>>806753Btw, have you gotten down on the X-Raps yet? The Yo-Zuri suspending minnows are pretty nice but I don't think I will buy another Husky Jerk again because the X-Raps seem to work so much better. Plus they have a few really nice color combos. Pic related.
