>>379362Either would certainly do the job since you're bringing a saw anyway. I would think it comes down to what you want to try and fit in or on your pack. If you're limbing dead trees for firewood I'd suspect you'd find it easier with the Small Forest Axe as well as the splitting but of course it won't fit as nicely in your pack as the Outdoor Axe. I'm sure you'd maybe worry less people carrying it too - I don't know if that's a consideration for you?
