You want something that size for butchering large game and serious food prep in a camp, along with some light batonning of kindling and shaping wood for bushcraft and some other things. Shape and design is debatable but something like a leuku is a multitool, although not quite as broadly utilitarian where there's a lot of hardwood.
This is moving outside the scope of basic bitch camping but spergs and more normative types have a personal pocket knife, a small fixed blade, and a big knife for extended hunting trips and such. Somebody in the group has an axe and saw as well. There's really no way to avoid at least 2 knives if you plan to DO anything of value. A Case isn't going to dress a hog or whittle much of shit and you're not going to eat dinner or pick out a splinter with your Buck.
