Absolutely great hunting for a non Rocky Mountain state. Lots of big game, like hite-tail/mule deer, pronghorn, bison, coyote, etc.
Great bird hunting. Pheasant, grouse, partridge, turkey and waterfowl for days. Tens of thousands of geese and duck fly through here in the fall and spring.
Fishing is pretty good here too. Lots of lakes and marshes to explore. Missouri River is great for paddlefish and sturgeon. Big walleye in Devil's Lake. Lake Sakakawea and Oahe are awesome for trout and salmon. Ice fishing is always a blast during the winter.
Muh low population density. No tourists except the few bikers who get lost on the way to Sturgis.

It's always god damned windy here. Wind chills can get down to -40F during the winter. One of the coldest places in the continental US.
