Take out the screw, file the burrs, file the edge slightly, sand the handle for a better fit, etc. I've seen several that mention heating the head up in the oven to 200 then tapping the handle into it and letting it cool for a better fit.
I like what these folks do with some of them, putting leather at the base of the head.
