>>2413055Yeah, both my ’89 and ’95 S-10s were extended cabs that were perfect for me, with secure space in the cab and a full length bed (I believe the long bed option was dropped after the 1st generation) but I’m guessing there just isn’t much of a market for ex-cabs nowadays, as commercial/fleet purchasers get the stripped-down short cab model while most civilian buyers want the easier accessibility, greater secure storage and full back seats of a crew-cab model (as opposed to the almost useless toddler sized jump-seats in the ex-cab).
I wish I had waited a year or two before buying my ’95 Sten, as they later offered a third-door option for the ex-cabs making loading much more convenient but I still loved those trucks and miss the ‘lil niggas, though the ’89 rusted to fuck after a couple of years, with the story going that the sheet steel supplier used already rusted metal just re-pickle it but I hung on to the ’95 until 2010 (though it was pretty rusted by then from Michigan winters and all the road salt).
If I had the money I’d get a 4x4 crew-cab Colorado in green with a flush-fit cap but with vehicle prices what they are today, (especially with the Colorados costing MORE then a full-size truck) I’m not pulling the trigger any time soon.
