I find measure these either, I put them on points on my body like a wingspan, half wingspan, to shoulder, to bicep, to elbow, forearm, palm width, palm width with thumb out, pinky to thumb "surfs up" at full extension , stuff like that. Just know the butt section is what provides power, the tippet provides finesse, and the mid section connects them. They're somewhat proportional. Not enough mid section and your leadernhinges on the cast. Too much and you lose tippet and energy. More butt is more power. I'm tired and intoxicated, go tie some leaders, watch them suck, change proportions, then see if they suck more or less. something I find helps is doing more wraps on my blood knots with the thinner mono than the thicker mono.
The poppern head was a xl double barrel thing and the fuzzzly stuff brought the whole package to about 6 inches.
