>>1393176The biggest problem I find is keeping it untangled. Then anything you wrap it around can imprint that shape onto the monofilament and everything gets weird. Though, with my rig the places where the hooks attach have longer sections so they can dance around further away from the main line.
If you have the lead split shots and a barrel swivel, you can just make a wooden form for it and cast a dropshot onto the clip of the barrel swivel. It's like 2-3 mins work if you have a blow torch, old spoon to heat the lead in, and something to make a dent in some wood. Even a butane jet lighter will melt the lead. It is a good use for old split shots that have fallen apart or deformed from too much use; especially if you find them around fishing spots.
