Even if the plants make it to harvest time without additional water, care etc. they will not even get harvested.
The spot is also lost permanently.

These things are usually not guarded 24/7. Best course of action is to just turn around and go on with your business.
I found other growers* sites before but never did anything. Means don't touch the plants, don't walk about, also, avoid the area and being seen there.
