>>2482471Funny you should mention the whole burying it thing. This is exactly what I did when I found a perfect dead Rook on the side of the road. Took its head off with my pocket knife, buried it in the forest near a memorable wall and went back about 7 months later. After that I soaked it in soapy water for a few weeks then submerged it in hydrogen peroxide. Unfortunately I left it in the peroxide too long and the bones went a bit translucent like picrel. Thankfully after a few days the colour became a bit more solid but I definitely left it in there too long. Still, I'm happy with it as a first experiment.
