The headlamp is pretty compact.
my main flashlight is fairly compact only slightly larger than 2 AA batteries. My back up flash light is usually even smaller, like a single AA or CR123A battery.
pic related- Fenix E05 is my back-up. its only slightly larger than the AAA battery it runs off of. its 85 lumens which is super bright for such a compact lite.
