Not really strange but I do find it fascinating. Thousands of years ago, apparently noble assholes in China had tombs built in rammed earthen mounds/pyramids. I watched a documentary about it and found it interesting and had to find it in Google maps. A lot are located north of Xi'an (the old capital) in the shape of weird turd looking hills or perfectly made, flat-topped pyramids.
