I need help setting up my pack. I'm gathering wool clothing now and I'll be making my own MRE's soon so none of those in the pack yet.
I have 2 tarps. A blue standard duty 10x12 and a camo medium duty 10x12. With these I have 8 tent spikes and 2 75' 5/32 paracord. I took these out last year and found the tarps are too big for me unless I can somehow get my dog in there with me instead of standing guard outside.
I have a 30' tie out rope for the dog. I won't get rid of it so don't tell me to.
I have the cheapest cookware set from walmart and a small fold up camp stove with fuel cubes. It worked well enough with a can of beans, but I doubt it will work for an actual meal. I have a few lighters, matches, and dryer lint to help with any fires. I plan on getting a cheap and light single action 22 for hunting and shooting.
For water I have a sawyer mini and a 32 oz water bottle that you always see at the gym.
I'd like to bring my camera along to not be bored. Last (only really) time I went out I just hiked to a spot, set up camp, slept, and hiked back. The cards are also something to play with.
I've got a couple small toothpaste packets and a travel brush with floss for dental hygiene.
I have a small fishing kit with line, hooks, and fake bait. Nothing special and little room lost.
Finally I have a cheap 40F sleeping bag and walmart mat. I plan on adding a wool blanket. I slept in my clothes only last time and regretted that.
What do I need to finish out my pack?
